Executive Principal’s Message

Dear parents, teachers and students

It is with great sadness, that I announce that our beloved Principal, Mr Mehmet Cicek, will not be with us for the next year. His service to our girls, through the most important passage of their lives, is greatly appreciated. His unique hands-on leadership style, his passion in setting high standards and his courage in initiating new challenges will be dearly missed. He has been the Principal of the girls campus for the last six years. It is difficult to imagine the school without his guidance. Having said that, he is not moving far. He will lead the Meadow Fair Boys Campus as the role of their new Principal. I wish him all the best in his new endeavours.

The new principal of Eastmeadows Secondary Campus will be Mr Ilhan Eroglu. He is married and blessed with 3 daughters. Mr Eroglu started his profession as a Physical Education teacher in 2001, in Australia. He has been working at Amity College, Sydney, since 2008. Before deciding to move to Victoria as our Eastmeadows Girls Principal, he was the Principal of a Primary School in Preston.

I am hoping his presence, together with newly refurbished sports facilities will encourage our girls to be more active. He has spent a week in November with Mr Cicek for his transition. I hope you will all welcome him with open arms to Melbourne and provide him the support he needs.

On behalf of Sirius College, I thank Mr Cicek for all that he has provided to our College in his six years and also welcome Mr Eroglu to the new challenge awaiting him.
